    55 down to 54 might not matter now, but they could come back to you crawling on their hands and knees if 2014 mid-terms go bad and Dems lose 4-5 seats.  

    President Obama would have been a Republican in the 1980's.

      to the fetid cesspool of corruption and feckless greed that his peers create, Senator Sanders is still a politician. He'll likely continue to caucus with the Democrats to insure he retains what little power his seniority gives him.

        Senator Sanders always plays it as hard as he can, and then when it's time to cut a deal he'll take the compromise, but make sure that he gets whatever he can for the People of this Nation.

          dubious, at best, to my mind. I understand it, and I believe it is the correct tactic in order to keep his voice heard (even as infrequently as it is) in Washington, but I consider it at best to be a measure of desperation rather than wisdom.
