    He was interviewed in my local paper and advocated a ban on semi-automatic assault weapons, and would apply it retroactively. The gun nuts forwarded the article to their network. He now has a big target on his back for the next election. The GOP sees his seat as now vulnerable. (He won by 59% in 2010 and by 61% this year. He had the advantage of having a couple of doofuses as opponents.) In the 2011 legislative session, he opposed a "Stand Your Ground" bill, so this is not the first time he has opposed NRA orthodoxy.

      I hope he can stay safe.

      There is more than one state, national rep who has been dealing with threats on this gun issue.
