    I'm sorry but the coin thing is just too weird for me.  I'm all for telling the Republicans to go pound sand, but not in this particular manner.  

    I'd rather we not engage in maneuveres whose constitutionality is deeply questionable.  And furthermore, it's WAY too easy and concrete a form of symbolism for embodying the tired old "tax and spend Democrats" story line.  It's way too visual.  It's a bad idea.

      of a thing deeply questionable with the authority to do the thing is explicitly made in law and the 14th amendment requires it in the absence of a legislative solution?
