  •  number one for me are the (13+ / 0-)

    "process issues".

Civil rights, voter rights, etc are key in this, but it also means pushing back on the construct of corporations as persons.  It also includes correcting government processes that don't work anymore in a two party system.  Ornstein and Mann had some good examples in their book.

This is number one for me because I do not think significant progress is achievable with most other issues until American citizens get the chance to be in control of government without the unfair influences of corporations - including the corporate media.

    •  ...civil rights...come from financial sanity... (6+ / 0-)

...and having the money we all pay in taxes come back to benefit us all.

With the unbelievable financial inequality taking place today...that equates to inequality in everything being kept and potentially getting worse.

Financial inequality...and mechanisms to keep it so and even make it more so is civil inequality!...

Ignorance is bliss only for the ignorant. The rest of us must suffer the consequences.
