    proportion seems to be the ones quoted in the Washington Post article. It irks me that there were no opposing white feminists quoted who might have remembered the first backlash against the feminist meme that somehow raising children and working in the home, was less than working outside of the home. IIRC, someone even went so far as to figure out what the hourly wage should have been for housewives and mothers.

    Of course in those days, the conversation only involved those women who had options.

    And here, I thought that a modern woman, who could truly do anything she wanted to, deciding to stay home and raise her children was a symbol of how far feminism had brought us.

    I am so very proud of our First Lady, the choices she has made and the family she has protected, and I am thrilled that she will continue in her role for the next four years.
