    blue in NC

mandered  areas (like the Research Triangle of Durham-Raleigh-Chapel Hill), where high-tech jobs and universities are concentrated, and where the population is not only expanding rapidly, but also filling up with Yankee (and other) immigrants.

The Triangle has been calling itself "a Blue Dot in a Red State" since 2004. But a massive Blue vote in a handful of districts doesn't control a state legislature.
