    That the old testament is an outdated, moot an inapplicable book is by no means a universal view, or even a common view really.

      I am an atheist who admires Christianity. I agree with others that liberal Christians are way too unassertive in pointing out the un-Christian nature of right-wing Christians.

      Liberal Christians tend to enable right-wing Christians. (The reason for that must be that their faith isn't very strong.) I don't think that liberal Christians should hesitate to call right-wing Christians "bad" or "false" Christians, but they do.
