Mah Gawd, yet another plot against lady-Virginians!  I signed the petition but could not get it to post to Facebook, blast it.

Mark Herring is a great guy--nothing fishy about him.  He used to be my state senator and perhaps still is, for all I know--they redistricted in my state, thereby causing me to lose my excellent Dem. legislator, Ken Plum.

but I always wonder if out of state signatures matter.

I think it will definitely matter even though we're out of state. It will send the message that it's not just Virginia that's going to be active in and closely watching this race, it's women across the country.

They seriously shouldn't have fucked with us ;)

    •  Diana, please please don't take this the wrong (0+ / 0-)

Way...but your comment is extremely frustrating for VA dems.

Mark herring is a VA senator, Ken Plum is a VA house of delegate representatives, two different houses, as thus are not the same (or impacted because of redistricting)

You seem like an engaged individual, but not knowing your state representatives and their respected bodies is why we have such a hard time in getting turn out in VA state elections.

Get involved in VA politics, no your representatives and fight like hell to get ride of the Republican controlled house of delegates....  This year we elect the 3 statewide (commonwealth) positions, governor, lt governor and attorney general and all of the VA house of delegates... VA senate is not up for election until 2015.

Takin it to the Streets! time to GOTV
