  •  I don't use Chrome much... (12+ / 0-)

    ... but there is a add on called "NotScripts" for Chrome which provides similar functionality.

    Firefox / NoScript is a great combination, add WOT and I feel pretty safe when I'm moving around on the web.

    I haven't been here long enough to be considered a Kossack, does that mean that I'm just a sack?

        ... it's an add-on for FF that uses community based ratings to determine the safety of web sites.  It is very helpful when following links to sites that you don't know.  If the site is of questionable integrity, WOT will display a huge banner telling you why people don't trust the site and give you the option of leaving the page before loading it fully in your browser.  Even with scripts disabled via NoScript, WOT gives me a clear warning not to enable even a single script on questionable sites.
