  •  While that's a healthy response (3+ / 0-)

to unproductive conflict here on the site, you're a remarkably lucky citizen if you really trust your senators and representatives.

Even if they are all Democrats (I'm assuming, perhaps I shouldn't?), don't you ever feel the need to monitor their job performance? Or give them some feedback? After all, you hired them, and they work for you. And they may be taking positions that either very much displease you or please you, on those big specific issues you care about.

    •  Hell I hit the senator (8+ / 0-)

jackpot (Merkeley and Wyden) and I still send them feedback/tell them when I don't like something they do.

Civility, courtesy, kindness. The CK mantra.

      •  I'm not quite as fortunate as you (3+ / 0-)

but luckier than many: Schumer (a neighbor who I've known and whose constituent I've been almost continuously for almost forty years) frequently drives me nuts, Gillibrand pleases me but is still "on probation" on issues other than women's rights and human rights, where she is a champ. My congresscritter at least votes the right way, but otherwise doesn't do much besides filling up a seat. They all hear from me regularly.
