      . . . so don't count on getting one.  They'll only be in CA and states that clone their emissions laws, in very limited numbers, and only for lease (ask the EV-1 folks how that worked out for 'em).

      It's very hard to say where Ford's going with the Focus.  It's too expensive for ordinary buyers, yet lacking the cachet of a Tesla, but at least they've indicated they plan to offer them for sale just about everywhere.

      Chevy's closer to the mark with the SparkEV, but doesn't seem to have distribution plans beyond the West Coast for now, so it's hard to say if GM would even be doing it without the ZEV quotas in CA.
