    if you don't like nuclear you cannot possibly justify an "electric" car.  Unless you like burning coal or natural gas and more global warming.

    Electric cars are justified as an alternative to fossil fuels . . . but that only applies if they are not dependent on fossil fuel for power.  The "renewable" alternatives just don't work . . . they are both expensive (doubling or more the cost of an already expensive car) and the power is not there when you need it.  Every new electric car increases the demand for electric power.  Where is that supposed to come from?

      Electric cars are able to handle the transition to alternatives without people having to buy something else.

      The alternatives do work, we just need to do more of them.

      They don't get nearly as much dollar wise in subsidies compared to fossil fuels and nuclear. Give them the same amount, and watch them proliferate.
