    its a little appreciated fact, but global warming is most pronounced in the winters, in the nights and where else it used to get cold .. but doesnt anymore quite as much. After all, global warming is caused by us increasing the thermally insulating properties of the atmosphere.

      Prudhoe Bay that the temps seem a lot warmer, hardly ever the long spells at -30 and -40, more often a balmy ten or fifteen below. I'd hesitate before saying the Canadiens and Russians will benefit from warming but in temps alone it might do them some favors.
