    Sorry to be so late, as usual.

    What a heartbreakingly beautiful child.  That serious little smile . . . already looked like a little old wise man.

    Thank you for leading with this today, on the REAL Martin Luther King, Jr., Day - to me, anyway - who cares about bank closures and, erm, white sales (oh, the irony).  He was five years younger than my father, almost to the day; Dad would have been 89 tomorrow.

    Glad to see some of the debunking of the Django mythos, and, of course, delighted to see any good news coming out of Haiti.

    Just tryna stay warm here; we've only hit 20 once in the last four days or so. Anywhere from 11 to 20 below at night (actual temps), with wind chills running as low as 29 below.  Love to everybody.  We did manage to get all the way up to 17 today; currently 15, with a wind chill of 6.  Stay warm, everybody (and if it's 70 where you are, I don't wanna hear it).  Love to all.
