    state of Kansas politics, it sure sounds like batshit crazy Republicans are what those people want.

    If there is no accountability for those who authorized torture, we can no longer say that we are a nation of laws, not men.

      Democrats can win in Kansas - we just don't have any good candidates anymore.

      I think it's just an involuntary reaction for many in this state that when they don't know anything about the candidates they will just automatically fill in the oval next to the Repulbican.

      Perhaps after they've been exposed to all the lunacy of Brownback, Kobach and others, they won't be so inclined to vote for them next time.

      A few years back we had a crazy Republican AG that barely won, did basically nothing for four years but carry on an anti-abortion crusade and then got soundly defeated for re-election.  Once they found out what he was all about they came to their senses.

      I'm kind of hoping something like that happens again.  But if we don't have halfway decent candidates the Democratic party in Kansas doesn't stand a chance.
