  •  Believe me, I know all about people who whine (12+ / 0-)

about paying union dues. Yet just watch them come running to the shop steward whenever they have a problem.
I used to be a shop steward.

But just because something is hard, doesn't mean it can't be done.

Organizing unions wasn't easy, but it was done, in spite of many on our own side working against us as scabs and stool pigeon.

We do it this way: Education Agitation Organization.

No one said it would be easy, just ask Fannie Sellins & Etta May Wiggins how easy it was. Would they prefer we do nothing because it's hard to do?

in 1929 NC, it was simply unacceptable, to some, for poor white and black workers to be organizing together. and Ella paid the price. The first photo is of her living children after she was murdered.
       She wrote this song:

Nope, no one said it was or will be easy.

I was making an observation about the mentality of some folks.

I would argue, though, that even if shop stewards have seen this behavior for years, that the mentality I'm describing has been "goosed" quite effectively in recent times by GOP propaganda.

I over reacted and put words in your mouth. Emotional issue for me, been around too many "why try" types lately, please forgive me for taking it out on you.
