    which book it was with a garden that had topiary sculpted to look like...well, it was X-rated topiary.  And the characters went there for private chats (or to eavesdrop on private chats).  Drawing a total blank.

    That was one exciting "tame" garden -- mostly for the suspense (will the antagonist catch the protagonist?).
