  •  Goverment works well for women (13+ / 0-)

Most of the advocates for less government are men, who know that with less government it's easier to use and abuse the girls and women.

After all, to those kinds of men what's the point of having money and power if you can't have power over girls and women to make you feel "manly" and "strong?"

My maternal grandfather and paternal grandfather ended up with a bunch of girls and three boys total instead of the desired army of burly sons who will take over the family name.

My dad had three kids with my mom: two boys and a girl (and I'm the middle child)

to prevent having girls.  It is upsetting the gender proportions in the country because so many female fetuses are aborted. India's economy is gaining, so there is more money for that sort of thing, and is a nasty side effect of their anti-women traditions.  Hopefully Mali won't go down that road.
