    Just some of the most gorgeous music RVW wrote (and that's saying a lot, given it's RVW!).

    One of my all-time favorite moments is actually from one of his lesser-known works: Riders to the Sea, his almost complete setting of J. M. Synge's one-act play of the same name.

    Check out the passage that starts out around 3:30. I've never heard its like: so despairing, and yet still consoling.
