  •  The problem with that (8+ / 0-)

is these bad USA's are using the same approach to other areas of investigation of criminal conduct.

A good example is the Cleveland 4 the group of young men lured into an FBI entrapment scheme to blow up a bridge in Cuyahoga County.

Their trial revealed how the plot was a big scam, yet prosecutors were asking for sentences of 19 to 30 years.  The federal judge presiding over the case refused, and instead talked of how poorly the case was managed, giving them much lighter sentences of 9 and 11 years.

Trying to curb the abuse of these rogue federal prosecutors by changing laws or sentencing guidelines may be a bit like playing whack a mole.

It may be best to weed out the abusers and find out who or what is motivating them to such overreach in their duties.

Democratic Leaders must be very clear they stand with the working class of our country. Democrats must hold the line in demanding that deficit reduction is done fairly -- not on the backs of the elderly, the sick, children and the poor.
