    I am shocked that no one else has claimed it!

    There's a lot of cool stuff in the Heinlein canon, but I think we can all agree he was a very odd duck.  (Nudist for Goldwater?) How would you like to have been a waiter at a dinner between RAH and Ayn Rand?  I would be happy just overhearing the discussion over the check.

      Rand. Yuck. Ick. Ptui. (Which is, by the way, the reaction I always have to the guy who won the award for the story for the ST:TOS episode, "City on the Edge of Forever," Harlan Ellison. His own fault: he was a jerk, when he appeared in our futuristic fiction class back in '84.)
