  •  Paul Ryan voted No on ALL.. (0+ / 0-)

Paul Ryan voted NO on ALL of the Hurricane Sandy bills. NO on the flood insurance bill (which only cost 10 billion and which was just re-authorizing the flood insurance program--I don't know how "pork" could possibly have gotten in that one); NO on the underlying bill here (the 17 billion amendment); NO on the supplemental bill here (the 33 billion amendment).  NO on the final package here.

He voted yes on the offsetting amendment to the underlying bill. That was voted on first apparently, so presumably if that would have passed, he would have voted yes on the underlying bill (but still probably no on the final package). I guess the principle is, "we can't help victims of terrible natural disasters until Congress takes the time to find other Americans to hurt."

I had a very hard time not literally getting physically sick watching Paul Ryan explain how much he was dedicated to uplifting the poor and creating opportunity as he was promoting a budget that slashed Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, and showered tax cuts on millionaires and billionaires during the 2012 campaign, and if he runs again in 2016, all I can say is, he is really testing my stomach.
