to be even worse than your previous one. So, according to you, the "majority of people who are getting SS" "love Reagan because they are closet racists"? No, seriously - is this snark?

      •  i'm sorry, but what country do you live in? (0+ / 0-)

i live in the United States where the majority of people on SS voted for the Republican nominee in 2012

they have been voting Republican for most of their lives and proudly since Reagan became a 2 term President in the 80s by winning over populist but racist Democrats.

remember Saint Ronnie's famous "i didn't leave the democratic party, it left me" and "government isn't the solution, it's the problem"?  both referring to the Democratic party becoming the party of civil rights and using the federal government to stop discrimination.

the largest voting block are people on SS and the majority of them are voting for Republicans who want to privatize SS and Medicare and refuse to address the effects of using oil on our global climate and who want all businesses to be free to make money no matter who they hurt or kill.  a great bunch of people, this majority of people who get SS.

i still remember the signs saying 'keep your government hands off my medicare' that were held up by people on SS at the town hall in my district during the health care reform debates.  their biggest worry was that if young people got health care then old people would be allowed to die.  biggest bunch of selfish pricks i have ever encountered.
