    Love your diary - but not buying the whaling thing.  The difference is that natives do it - but on an individual scale.  Iceland whales on an industrial scale.

      US whaling is about 50 a year, Iceland's is about 200 a year.  Not a huge difference.  And when you think of natives whaling, do realize that they're using increasingly modern equipment, too.   Here's how they hunt.
