I had a few periods of wooziness in 2011, on that lasted over several days, starting with almost passing out on the tennis court.

My doc never came out and said it, but I'm pretty sure he suspected some cardiac event, as I have had hypertension since my mid 20's (now late 40's, been on efective meds for the last dozen years...).  EKG, Stress test, other blood work.  Since I was never told anything other than my EKG was a "bit unusual" at 175 bpm (and very high BP at that point of the stress test), I guess it was inconclusive.

An old adage I've heard is this:  you can be very fit, but still not very healthy, but if you are very healthy you are likely to be reasonably fit.  Excessive cardio might get you a really low resting heart rate, but does not guarantee good health by itself.  In my early 30's I was an avid cardio/runner, had a resting heart rate in the low to mid 50's, and still had blood pressure in the range of 180/100...

    •  You might want to see an allergist (5+ / 0-)

I had very similar symptoms on occasion - 'wooziness' is a good way to put it - and ended up collapsing with anaphylactic shock that almost killed me.  Turns out I'm allergic to latex.  Unfortunately, with episodes like yours allergies are seldom suspected but it's always a possibility.

you don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows

Time is an enormous, long river, and I’m standing in it, just as you’re standing in it. My elders are the tributaries, and everything they thought and every struggle they went through & everything they gave their lives to flows down to me-Utah Phillips
