    that I can't afford to drop insurance -- every so often I tell the spouse we should drop me to save money but he refuses. Under his retiree plan, his former employer pays most of his insurance (he kicks in $25), but will not cover mine till I hit 55 (in, ironically enough, 2014). And that might go away under the next union contract. So I may also have to look into the insurance exchanges, just to save us those hundreds of bucks a month. (The amount of money we save on prescription meds, which are $0 copay, makes it worth it.)
