    for Boeing.  That such a critical component is not manufactured according to the highest standards is borderline criminal, imo.

    And just when they were celebrating the fact that they were getting more orders than Airbus....

    Airbus produces in multiple countries, as well.  The big difference, however, is that Airbus does this mostly in countries with unions and strong worker rights and due to the political reason of it being a pan-European company.

    The problems with the Boeing 787 seem to stem from greed and too much attention being paid to shareholder value.  It is now very obvious that the plane shouldn't have been going into high-level production mode yet.

    They're basically using the early production and use phase as an extended test phase.
