    for Sgt David J. Chambers
The flag flies at half-staff for a fallen brother, again the word goes out, one of our own has fallen.
There are no words to describe the feeling, he was more than a soldier, a leader, a friend, a teammate a buddy.
Monuments don't describe this, names etched in stone tell the name but not the man.  It will be up to those he left in his unit to perform that duty.
This was a soldier that the Army could not afford to lose, not because he would have been an Audie Murphy or an Alvin York, but a man who been a great mentor to future soldiers who would have served under him. An inspiration and a model to those younger enlisted men. David Chambers was worth more to the Army he served with pride, than anyone will know.
The flag flies at half-staff for a fallen brother, but his brothers and sisters will carry on his mission, and his spirit forever.
His spirit stands guard over them.
