    The occupation was a direct product of the tax revolt, no? If Massachusetts could be counted on to pay the king's ransom, there wouldn't have been all those redcoats.

      and love guns and violence.

      But as I remember reading it what the British wanted us to do was pay the whole costs of the French and Indian wars. You know: 18th century user fees.
      And Americans, just like they do today, did not want to pay for what they'd already gotten.
      Thats the way the British look at it anyway.

      Don't get me wrong---I'm a good American, I hate to pay taxes as much as anyone, also paying for what I already got on credit.
