    I finally got sci-fi literature by the time I was 10.  Though I was hooked on the idea watching first run eps of  UFO and Lost in Space before that whole sci-fi reading thing really kicked in.

    Hugh Walters was the real bridge from "wtf am I reading" (Dune) to the more accessible Lensmen series.

    Still, God bless you, Gerry Anderson for igniting my imagination by putting pictures to the words I read.
