  •  The winds are howling here, with on and off (4+ / 0-)

white-outs of lake effect snow then bright sunshine. Interesting.  When the fronts collided late last night, it sounded like a sonic boom!  My dog hid under the bed because he thought it wad thunder!

I make sun-tea in the dark (of the refrigerator)when I want iced tea; 3 teabags, usually two lipton and one constant comment in a liter container of cold water, put it in the refrigerator, maybe 5+ hours and remove the bags.  The tea doesn't get cloudy or bitter and since I don't add any sugar (or ice either) to my tea, it is perfect for me.  For two quarts use 4-5 bags, to taste.

    •  We'd drink that faster than it was brewed :). (3+ / 0-)

Which is part of the reason I use cold brewed, we go through a gallon a day, a gallon and a half if it is hot out.

      •  I can appreciate that, I only drink a little bit (3+ / 0-)

        of anything!

At one time I had about ten containers for partner to use, he would go through a lot, maybe three liters a day, I would make more each night.

I take it that cold brewed is faster than overnight brewed?

with the lipton tea bags made for it, takes about 3 minutes according to the package. I usually give it about an hour because I like my tea stronger. So if I make it in the morning, by the time I'm done with my hot tea and my first vitamin water of the day, my tea is ready.

I drink a lot because if I don't my throat dries out, I cough more, and I end up with breathing problems. I've even had an asthma attack once because my lungs were too dehydrated! (I was working the grill at McDonald's and hadn't had enough time to drink.)
