    miss it if you left and did not go back.

      I missed the friends, and the easy access to serving others through the organization.  They were there for my family as my kids grew up.

      It's not for the religion, it's for the church (the people) that I still participate.  I no longer go to the worship service, but I am part of the women's group that supports the funerals, I serve the homeless, and I help clean the church once a month so the building can be used by outside groups such as AA and the local Democrats.  

      It's a United Methodist Church - they accept me as I am at the level I'm comfortable participating.
