than other places in Florida, but food prices are higher where Publix has a near monopoly. And people are free to shoot their guns for fun and gerrymandering put me into a weirdly shaped district while G'ville, north of me is now a district running from coast to coast.

Walmart food stores are also expanding here in southwest Florida; a development which in itself has drawbacks regarding labor issues. But they will help to keep food prices down to a certain extent.
