    ...which is an early bloomer.  But in mid-January this is getting a little ridiculous.  I worry, too, about the honeybees that started to appear among these crocuses yesterday.  Winter will treat none of them nicely this week.

    As for my hyacinths, they, like the crocuses, are a legacy of the previous tenant here, and the hyacinths are so sparse and weak in a good year that I'll not worry too much what happens to them this winter.  Hope yours will make it, though; mulch them, maybe, or throw some plastic over them on the coldest stretches.
