    The first time a Vice President was sworn in a completely different ceremony than the president since 1933. This is the first time a Vice President was sworn in a place outside the Captiol or the White House (the capitol was a different building in 1789, 1793 and 1797).

    It also had the first Vice Presidential inaugural address since 1974, although it was very short.

    They should have had the whole shebang today and end the sunday exception. The delay was to avoid taking an oath on the sabbath, which was done.
