  •  Hot flashes since 2000 (10+ / 0-)

for me, and they continue to this day, however, I think they're finally beginning to taper off. They're absolutely debilitating when they occur.

    Still getting night sweats, though.

Am terribly leery of soy - although Extra-strength Estroven does well for me, I just can't remember to take it all the time. I have to take asthma and allergy meds, and the extra one just makes me crazy.

Also on my check list is ennui, listlessness, depleted energy, and the impaired ability to spell words.

Minimal bad moods, which is a good thing.

Was peri-menopausal since 2000 - and graduated to being a crone two years ago today, in fact.

Started menstruating at age 11; my mom was really uninformed and almost ignorant of anything to do with the female reproductive system, and was very uncomfortable speaking about such things.

My half-sisters have endometriois, and one has had an hysterectomy. I've been spared most problems with the exception of some cysts.

My grandmother, though, was a right old broad, and kept a lover until she had a stroke at the age of 70.
