    taxation of the pre Reagan era, such that extreme compensation is mostly not offered or sought.

    At present though we have 2 parties that oppose mid 20th century Democratic Party economics.

      recognition that we're all in this together, that there is such a concept as 'enough,' that a more even spread and the existence of a middle class rather than staggering developing-nation-style inequality is a positive thing, etc.

      I don't see any of those things happening any time soon in the winner-take-all economy.
