    for my personal comfort. I may have quietly wished for a candidate more progressive than Obama but one look at the ethical wreck that is Mittens Romney and I couldn't have voted otherwise. I couldn't throw my voice away on a third party protest vote either.

    I like what I see from the President's public face, he and I are of a similar age, married for a similar amount of time, each have two kids of similar ages -- I think I'd like him on a personal level.

    When he talked about his changing views on marriage equality I had two reactions "Bravo!" and "What the hell have you been thinking for the last 40 years?"

    I have a few other concerns, most of which can be explained away with a Congress full of nitwits. Some serious concerns remain. And so, until somebody sends the entire board of directors of HSBC off to an all-expenses paid vacation breaking rocks and cutting brush in the desert until they blister and pop from the heat, I won't be cheering too loudly.

    But I am cheering.
