    There's a lot of emotions flying around, and we should do our best to deal with that by being as reasonable as we can be.

    Those emotions are on both sides.

    It is a loophole each state will have to address.

    I'm researching that ten year old fight, and what it seems to be is that gun control advocates attempted to address this loophole and were shut out of the discussion on gun permits. I'm not sure on what grounds, or if people who are allies with the NRA addressed those specific concerns, but my argument is that right now, the NRA isn't helping us fix our problems when it comes to guns.

    They talk quite a bit about gun safety, but they haven't done much on the policy level to help us close these loopholes. They're actively fighting against us.

    Thanks for your apology. That means a lot. I hope we can all start having an effective dialogue and I want to do what I can to focus on facts.
