I live in CO and the Sandy Hook massacre cut closer to the bone than the Aurora Shooting and Columbine.  I think it's the age of the victims.  Six year-olds have the big silly grins with at least one missing tooth, the dreams of Santa Clause and being a good little boy or girl, riding a two-wheeler without training wheels, and the sweetness and innocence we all aspire to recapture.  It just breaks my heart.

I want to make sure I add context to my statement.  The entire state and region were devastated by Columbine and Aurora.  It was like we were all hung over for weeks.  Mindless robots buying milk and filling up our tanks with gas, all the while trying to make sense of the senseless killings.  However, there was something even more chilling about Sandy Hook.

Perhaps the silver lining is the gun control debate is at max volume.  People are fed up with their children getting massacred by military style assault rifles.  The time for change is now.  It's in the air. Can you feel it?
