    when the  rubber hits the road, and he has to "shed" (or shred) the supposed "comity" of that illustrious do-nothing body.  He got returned to the Senate only because the Tea Baggers wrecked the republican electoral prospects in Nevada, not because he's such a progressive, forward thinking Democrat.

    He was right about Udall and Merkley being prophetic (and actually having a brain) about filibuster reform.  If he caves to the republicans on moderating filibuster reform by not going for the talking filibuster he's set his legacy as a wimp and liar.
