    as long as it is evenly applied of course... a company has a right to set rules requiring that no political slogans, messages, whatever adorn the clothing of their employees during their work hours. That is fairly standard fair. My company has fairly liberal dress down policies in our office but political sloganeering is one of the things ruled out.

    Now... if they fired this guy but didn't fire someone wearing a "God hates fags" t-shirt then there is a serious problem.

    And I would say that if they didn't try something milder like asking them to change shirts and went straight to firing then that is bad management practice.

    But I'm not reading any of that in this post. Haven't gone to the links yet.
