I respond to them until I can't stand it anymore. Then, I take them off  my newsfeed. One I unfriended because she posted something I found really offensive and she was not a relative. I knew her in high school and we actually shared an apartment once, by chance more than friendship. Had the worst taste in men. Still does judging by the Ted Nugent posts.  One relative unfriended me. Facebook teaches that sharing genes does not make you friends.

I am now PEEVED with the new program that lets you find out who UNFRIENDED you - it pops up all over the place telling me 3 people have unfriended me. I am a default FB member because it does keep me connected to a few cousins, nieces and nephews that use it a lot.

3 is almost 10% of my FB friends. Do I care who they are? I could probably figure it out without a new ap if I did. It doesn't surprise me that some folks might be culling out a few 'friends' they don't visit with. Especially since the site promotes a lot of friending. I've accepted some rather than be rude. I did decline some people from a part time job because I really just use it for family.

My sister (R), married a cracker (there is no nicer way to put that). I largely ignore or hide his posts, we can't stand each other but play nice for my sister. Both are college educated and in the medical field. My sister I shrug off as misinformed about what the r's have become (nurse, busy). Her husband is...hateful. He simply hates anyone not white and republican, refuses to watch anything but faux news, won't listen. While I have gone toe to toe with the klan (which is terrifying), I can't say a thing to my brother in law. I did manage to stand down the clowns so much, they respect me and leave me alone.

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.
