The WSJ today ran a story "Another Walker Vindication" about winning in court on stopping the state from collecting union money from teacher paychecks.  Like Paul Ryan, Walker is a poster boy for the right.

opinion that it was legal. They questioned efficacy and reasonableness, but upheld its constitutionality. I never held much hope for this. Essentially, it sucks and was unnecessary, but it is not unconstitutional. It can go to further courts, all the way up, but I still don't think it will be struck down.

Perhaps this explains a certain fatigued tone of pessimism in my diary: we've been fighting for two years now, and are now fighting the same fights we narrowly won a year ago. It'll be a hard slog, and we have no balance at state, and redistricting is a bitch. We're locked in for years, even though a majority Statewide voted Obama and Tammy Baldwin.

They will soon change the way that is counted as well. There is no question!

appointee.  The union lawyers are looking at the opinion to see if they should ask the full Appeals Court to rule on it rather than just the 3 judge panel.

Republicans have ben packing not just the Supreme Court, but all of our courts for over 30 years.

There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.
