    keep it local for now.  Greens keep discrediting themselves and pissing people off by trying to compete at the national level.  As a rule, we don't need anyone siphoning off votes from national Democrats at present, and for the most part all you're going to do is exhaust your resources anyway.  There may be exceptions, but e.g. running a candidate against a Pelosi is just going to alienate your theoretical base.  But if you build up gradually from below, you can put pressure on the Democrats to become more progressive.

    The only place you should compete nationally is to run against certified Bad Democrats.
