...restrooms.  Our opponents did.  If public accommodations are included it becomes "the bathroom bill".  You think we want that?

Now as far as I can see, this was not the topic of my diary.  Am I wrong?

There is a significant portion of the population who believe that transpeople are just a bunch of men hellbent on fooling heterosexual men into having homosexual sex and sneaking in to women's washrooms to violate girls.

Of course those viewpoints totally ignore the existence of transgender men (i.e. those born women transitioning to live as men).  Imagine the horrifying panic if a couple of dozen transmen walked in to a women's restroom appearing as the men that they are.

There's a middle ground there.  But I'll stop commenting, sorry.

wildly nonsensical claim that if a man dressed as a woman for the purpose of entering a womans' washroom and sexually harassing or assaulting women/girls, anti-discrimination laws would prevent him from being prosecuted for the assaults. These are probably the same people who assert that it's nearly impossible to convict a black or Hispanic person for a violent crime because of civil-rights laws. And probably the same people who think that anyone covered by anti-discrimination laws is automatically entitled to cash welfare benefits.

Writing in all lower-case letters should be a capital offense
