    Because you gave it to them. Social Security does not give it to them. They even recommend no one actually carry their card with them at all.

      people whom I believe shouldn't have it but they require it to get a driver's license, healthcare from a doctor or hospital, car insurance, mortgage, just about everything.   That should all be stopped right away.

      their information to known attempts by citizens to access our own SS files.

      Since we know that they aren't people burdened with a sense of professional ethics, we have every reason to expect they'll start doing this immediately.
