  •  That's our DA (23+ / 0-)

and we are incredibly proud of the job he's doing. It's not just this new proposal, but he's worked with the Innocence Project to free the wrongfully convicted.

The Dallas Morning News, our only local paper, has engaged in a smear campaign against him since even before Watkins was first elected, and they have been relentless since then. Before we dropped our subscription, not a week went by but there would be some kind of article in the DMN insinuating something about Watkins, all without any real basis.

I finally decided it wasn't worth bringing garbage into our home just to have paper to line our birdcages with, so we dropped the subscription.

      a while back too.

The Dallas Morning News is published by allies of the Kochs, Coors, and other RW billionaire radicals.

Once they had a decent editorial board and turned out reasonable, if Republican, editorials and coverage.  But, when caught fraudulently inflating their subscription numbers, the management took the only resolution open to them:  rather than fire all the managers and VPs involved, they had a clearing out of the editorial board.  Long term employees earn more money, you know?

Then they brought in even more RW people than before (where they previously had had some outright liberal members including Vietnam Vets who saw the folly of Iraq from the beginning).

The Dallas Morning News insists on publishing RW crap in a Blue county.   Is it any wonder that people are dropping their subscriptions?
