  •  I didn't imply that at all. (1+ / 0-)

The list that HBIII put out there are either obviously inhumane (dirty waiting rooms) or things that seem necessary (apartment inspections which happen to me too in my apartment complex, building security). So I simply was asking, for what seems necessary, how better to go about it?

I see what you did there.

    •  No, you seemed to argue that the stuff that (3+ / 0-)

was obviously inhumane was also necessary unless HBIII could come up with a better alternative.  After all, wouldn't having dirty, nasty waiting rooms with no food or drink allowed and very long waiting times on the order of 3-5 hours discourage people who don't really need the benefits from applying for them (as well as diabetics who wouldn't be able to keep enough insulin with them to last the full wait)?

      •  Perhaps it was a failure on my part to delineate (1+ / 0-)

between dirty waiting rooms and the security guard being noisy. There are several items in the diary that do not seem wrong except for that they're not being handled correctly, and I was wondering about some positive changes.

I see what you did there.

        •  Well the way your post was worded sure (3+ / 0-)

sounded that way.  The statement "it might help to have an alternative to consider since this clearly isn't completely humane treatment" would imply that "well, the inhumane treatment serves a purpose, please come up with an alternative that serves the same purpose and is more humane".
