  •  It would be tragic, but that is on her. (0+ / 0-)

What the hell is she doing letting herself in at night into someone else's home?

    FREAKING CALL FIRST LADY!

Would it have been any less tragic, if someone had brained her with a baseball bat in the dark?

      •  Be that as it may, there is a word: Boundaries. (0+ / 0-)

Normal people with healthy boundaries do not sneak into other people's homes at night.

        Period.

That MIL has serious boundaries issues and she needs to be instructed on a safer way to engage with family members.

There are these things called door bells, telephones, or just knocking, announce yourself for heaven's sake!  I would rather you wake me up at some ungodly hour than scare the shit out of me by sneaking around my house or in it.

I imagine that the wife would have been pissed if the police showed up and put her mom on the floor in cuffs too!

I grew up in a very small community.  Our doors were always wide open and we left the keys in the cars.

I can think of a few times where people borrowed a truck or whatever.

          Ah, simpler times.
